You Can Glitter It!

Yep, you can glitter them too! Gessoed and painted with Claudine Hellmuth products, this little princess needed some sparkle! Got out the German glass glitter and voila! Pretty in pink, sparkley princess! And those shoes...aren't they adorable?

Emboss It!

Having more fun with my chipboard couture girls! Surprisingly easy to paint, because all the details are etched in. It's kind of like painting by numbers. You can't go wrong! I again used Claudine Hellmuth paints and gesso for this project. I brushed a light coat of gesso over the entire piece. I painted her skin with a mix of Blank Canvas, Painterly Pink and Modern Red. Her dress is a mix of Sky Blue and A Smidge of Blue with some Blank Canvas thrown in for highlights. I used Golden paint for hair because their colors are true and the consistency is perfect for blending texture. I first use Burnt Sienna and then blended in Raw Umber. Her shoes are A Smidge of Blue with some stickles mixed in. You can never have enough glitter! After painting,I used a new Prima stamp from their Tea Thyme collection and embossed it with gold onto the dress. There is a tiny Prima rose that I dipped in a puddle of blue stickles and a couple of rhinestones for some extra bling. She is ready to be popped on a card, scrapbook page or even a small canvas.

Paint It!

Here's one of my chipboard pieces available from Leaky Shed Studios that I painted. I used Claudine Hellmuth Studio gesso and acrylic paints on her. It was super easy and took no time at all. The details are etched in so it's an easy process to paint. I promise you don't have to be an experienced great artist to paint one of these! She will be going on an embellished cigar box that I will post when I'm finished. Comes in 2 sizes; 4". great for tags and cards and 8" perfect for layouts or mixed media work.

Splishin and a Splashin

And, yes, those are seashells! The color did not come out well in this picture!

Celebrate summer and the anniversary of Gee Gee's Stamps in Carlsbad with me! I will be teaching this adorable mermaid canvas on August 18. We'll be using Claudine Hellmuth paints and torn paper for the background. Prima papers and of course their gorgeous flowers will be used for embellishments. I will be teaching the canvas class in the morning and a mermaid tag class in the afternoon.
Hope to see you there!
